We are pleased to announce that from 22 March 2026, all IELTS tests will be delivered on computer, providing a faster, more efficient and streamlined testing experience.
IELTS on computer offers the same test format, questions and scoring as IELTS on paper. IELTS on computer also provides significant benefits to test takers at no additional cost:
• Faster results: Typically receive your results in 1-2 days
• Faster booking: Book your test as late as one day before registration closes
• More test dates: More choice and flexibility for you
• One Skill Retake: Retake just one skill, not the whole test, if you need to improve your score

  1. Make sure you have a valid ID at hand (Thai national ID card or passport). Please note you will have to present the same Thai national ID or passport that you use for registration on test day. Different, invalid or expired passport or national ID card will not be accepted, and you will not be allowed to sit the test. Please note that candidates under 18 years of age have to supply written consent by a parent or guardian in order to apply for a test place.
  2. Download and read our Information for Candidates, which contains important information about the test format, the question types and the test results. Please note that IELTS is not recommended for test takers under the age of 16. 
  3. Pay for your test. You can pay for your test through our online registration system. For in person registration, visit our authorised registration partners.

Your Listening, Reading, and Writing sections of the test will be completed on the same day with no break in between. In many locations there are test sessions in the morning and afternoon. All test sessions allow social distancing. Morning sessions are usually between 9:00 and 12:00. Afternoon sessions are usually between 14:00 and 17:00.

You can choose your Speaking test slot when you take IELTS on a computer.

If we need to change your slot due to unforeseen reasons out of our control, we will notify you by email or phone.

The test fee in Thailand includes free exclusive preparation materials, practice tests and much more.
