You can take an IELTS test on paper or IELTS on a computer at our official test centres in Thailand, including Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

Either way, you will be taking exactly the same IELTS test, with the same test content and structure. The only difference is that you can choose to type your answers on a computer or write them on paper – whichever suits you best.

For the IELTS on computer test, you will answer the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a computer at one of our official test centres. The IELTS Speaking test will still be face-to-face with a trained IELTS Examiner, as this is the most effective way to assess your speaking skills.

With computer-delivered IELTS, you will now have more test dates to choose from - and your results will be available in 1-5 days.

IELTS on computer tests are available in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phnom Penh under British Council Thailand at one of our official test centres.

* Results for IELTS on computer are usually available in 1 to 5 days after you finish all components of your test. Please note that if the result release day falls on Sunday or a public holiday, the test report form (TRF) will be distributed on the next working day.
