3. My son will receive his A-Level results in mid-August, and we have already bought air tickets to leave Thailand on 5 September. Do we need to postpone our flight date? Can we pay for the student priority service in August?

Currently, the standard processing time for student visa applications is three weeks. In some cases, it might take longer. Please do not purchase flight tickets until the visa decision has been made. At the moment, the priority visa service for students is not available, but we hope it will be resumed soon.

4. I submitted my biometrics to the VFS on 4 July. It has been almost four weeks, and I have not yet received an email informing me about the outcome of my visa application. Should I contact UKVI or VFS to ask for the status of my visa application?

5. The VFS is only allowing me to choose the standard route for the visa application since the premium route has been discontinued. They said it will take 15 working days. Is this true?

6. I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the UK and have applied for a postgraduate course starting this September. Do I apply to extend my current Tier 4 visa, or should I apply for a new student visa? 

You will need to make a new student visa application using your new Certificate of Acceptance of Studies for the postgraduate course. 

7. Is it difficult to obtain a Skilled Worker Visa? Can you let me know the criteria?
