The University has four faculties offering 700 courses including undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD options which all focus on developing the specialist knowledge needed to excel in future careers.

We work with thousands of organisations, from HSBC to the NHS, and these industry partners help design our courses and give students the experience and contacts they need to make their CV stand out to future employers. Many of our courses are accredited by professional associations and bodies.

Outstanding facilities

Our students benefit from access to our world-class facilities. We’re constantly updating and adding to the facilities, with £72 million invested in new buildings since 2014. This means 24-hour libraries, student-designed study areas, excellent sports facilities and the same equipment which our graduates will use in their future workplaces, whether it’s an aeroplane manufacturer, a software engineering company or a hospital.

A vibrant city with a low cost of living

Sheffield is a welcoming, multicultural city with a rich and proud history. It is a safe, friendly and affordable place to live, which is why it is the study destination of choice for more than 60,000 students. The city also offers the best of both worlds, with all the amenities, culture and entertainment of a big city and the peaceful, green spaces of the countryside.
