An 11 Finalists of UK Alumni Awards for Social Impact

Jittin Ritthirat completed her course in Development Studies at the University of Leeds in 2001. She was selected as a finalist for the Social Impact Award category at the Thailand Study UK Alumni Awards 2020.

She is one of the key persons involved in the civic group Phoom Muang Kan, working in parallel with other sectors for the past two years in an effort to reclaim treasury land and transform it into a cultural and creative space for social benefit rather than renting it out to a private company, as has been the case for the last 30 years.

Jittin strives to revitalise and transform the archaeological area in the heart of the city into an iconic landmark, creating a sense of ownership, social-concern and pride among the locals of Kanchanaburi.
