Forum on opportunities of Thai Craft in the UK Market

British Council (Thailand) and the SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (SACICT) organised a forum entitled “Opportunities for Thai Craft in the UK Market” at the International Innovative Craft Fair 2015.

The forum focused on the Craft & Design Innovation Programme, a partnership between British Council and SACICT, which aimed at capacity building for Thai makers to enter international markets, especially the UK market.

Joining the forum were Mr. Andrew Glass, Country Director, British Council (Thailand), and the 4 Thai makers who were selected to join the CRAFT fair, a high-end craft trade show in London, on 11-13 January 2015. The panelists included Ms. Saruta Kiatparkpoom from Pin Metal Life, Mr. Manattapong  Senghuad from Varni, Mr. Prach Niyomkar from Mann Craft, and Ms. Thaniya Janeturakit from Thaniya. Ms. Carol Sinclair, advisor and trainer from Cultural Enterprise Office, Scotland, also joined the forum on skype.
