Tettenhall College

We have probably all heard the expression ‘a home from home’ and a true understanding of what this actually means is vital when considering a place for your child as a boarder.

About Tettenhall College

Located in the Midlands, just 40 minutes from Birmingham Airport in the village of Tettenhall, our historic school buildings sit in over 33 acres of woodland and grounds. Founded in 1863, with 150 years of tradition, we are rightly proud of our leavers’ destinations, and our students have regularly gone on to top UK universities and institutions such Cambridge, LSE and RADA. It is however the journey that our pupils take to achieve this success that lies at our heart. Tettenhall College ensures that the correct balance is maintained between study, recreational activities, hobbies and free time offering A-level courses and a Foundation GCSE programme. Our boarders appreciate the opportunities to have fun, make new friends and increase their cultural experiences. They are well cared for in a family environment by dedicated boarding staff and personal tutors who ensure that all international pupils are happy and fulfil their academic potential.

Curriculum

Tettenhall College is an independent school for students aged 2 – 18. International pupils may board from age 9 and attend our Preparatory School and enter Senior School at age 11. Pupils aged 14 -16 will follow the GCSE programme in line with their ability in English whilst, if necessary, receiving support in English language to gain the most from their studies. Through a broad curriculum including historical and cultural visits and careful guidance you will develop the knowledge and skills necessary for success in your GCSE examinations.
