You are invited to a special seminar on how nature inspires Engineering - a seminar about the amazing achievements in Engineering and Technology by Dr Mohamed Torbati, a lecturer in the electro-mechanical research group and a senior consulting engineer at the University of Southampton. Dr. Torbati will include the following topics in his presentation.
- The impressive designs that have been inspired by nature

About Speaker
Dr Torbati is a lecturer in the electro-mechanical research group at the University of Southampton, UK, and a senior consulting engineer.
He is currently the program lead for mechanical Engineering and has been the industrial liaison and employability officer for the same program.
His current research interests are energy harvesting and storage. Between 2007 and 2010, he also worked as a part-time business fellow for a Technology Network organisation in London. He is a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and a Chartered engineer.
