We are interested in receiving session proposals related to advising and preparing students for Higher Education study abroad.
Suggestions are, but not limited to:
- Supporting students with study skills for Higher Education
- Supporting students with Higher Education decision making
- Understanding parent and student concerns and providing impartial advice
- Successful student case studies
- Case studies of working with overseas universities
Successful proposals will be those deemed of most interest and relevance to the school counsellor audience. If more than one party proposes to cover a topic, we may look at forming a panel.
Please note that UCAS and UKVI will be presenting plenary sessions, therefore content should not overlap with visa or UCAS applications.
The British Council reserves the right to curate content, i.e. we may ask for editing of content in context of our local knowledge of school counsellors’ interests and information needs.
We welcome creativity in terms of session format, for example panels, interactive workshops or other engaging session types.
Speakers who are selected will receive a conference pass. Travel, expenses and accommodation will be at your own cost.
If you are interested in submitting a session proposal please email CounselorsConference@britishcouncil.org in the first instance.
