Role overview
The Senior Procurement Manager role is new to the British Council and is a cluster role who will manage 3 countries which are Thailand Vietnam and Myanmar. In this role, you will provide a professional compliant procurement process to all countries in cluster to achieve value for money and satisfaction to British Council and identify and promote ways for SBUs to manage demand, given that this may involve changes in current practices that go beyond procurement.
To be considered, you must have the right to work in Thailand and be able to travel within Cluster and region to attend supplier and team meetings. You must be able to communicate well in both Thai and English and hold a bachelor’s degree in a related area such as business or economics, logistics, supply chain management or purchasing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point) and at least 10 years work experiences in commercial companies are essential. Fluency in English and a professional qualification in procurement or studying towards one are desirable. Experience in SAP R3 with 3-5 years direct experience in procurement management is an advantage.
